Antigua & Barbuda Port Authority

The Port of St. John's was constructed in 1968 and opened to commercial traffic in 1969. However, over the years, there have been many changes in the socioeconomic fortunes of Antigua and Barbuda. Two of these are the construction of the Heritage Quay dock and the Nevis Pier in downtown St. John's. Because of these transformations, cruise vessels can now dock at Heritage Quay and Nevis Pier leaving the old berthing areas at the Deep Water Habour mainly for the handling of cargo imported in Antigua and Barbuda.
